The City of Santa Fe’s week-long summer golf camps welcome children, ages 6 to 12, an opportunity to learn the game of golf by learning from certified teaching professionals. Instructors teach the basic techniques of golf including golf course rules and etiquette, fundamentals, instruction on putting, chipping and full swing, how to read a putting green, and on course practice and play. No previous golf instruction is required prior to enrolling. All groups with 5:1 student-teacher ratio; golfers receive individual attention. Space is limited to 20-25 students per camp to allow for hands-on instruction.
Children registered in the calendar year’s Little Linksters Youth Summer Golf Camps may visit the golf course post instruction — FOR FREE AND UP TO 5 TIMES IN ONE CALENDAR YEAR — with a paying adult. This perk is in large thanks to the annual FORE KIDS golf tournament fundraiser that donates all proceeds to youth scholarships. Holly is an LPGA Level A teaching professional. Her dynamic teaching has improved the game of hundreds of golfers of all levels. Her golf training videos were selected by the LPGA to instruct future golf pros in Japan and Korea.
She is the Santa Fe Community College Golf Instructor and has been teaching all levels of golf since 2000. Holly teaches private lessons as well as clinics for women, men, and youth at Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe in New Mexico. Please contact Holly if you would like to lower your golf score.
Holly is a founding member of the Ladies of The Links Golf Association at Marty Sanchez. For ten years she was Co-Chair of the annual Susan G. Komen Rally for The Cure (Breast Cancer) Golf Tournament.
Holly is the CEO and founder of “Golf for Girls”, a 501 (C) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to creating golf opportunities for girls who otherwise would not have the opportunity to play or know that golf was available to them.
Holly was honored to receive the “2009 Sportswoman of The Year” award from the Ladies of the Links Golf Association. She held the Santa Fe Open title in 2013.
In her words, “My mission is to teach, inspire and have students translate the integrity of golf to their everyday lives”.

Since 1998, this tournament has brought much needed recognition to the youth of our city; awarding 36,000+ scholarships and raising over $239,000+ in assistance.

Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe is committed to positively impacting the needs of our community by aiding to charitable organizations every governmental fiscal year. Due to the large number of requests received each year, (MSL) attempts to approve as many requests as possible per fiscal year, however, cannot guarantee that every donation request will or can be fulfilled.
Priority is given to the surrounding communities within the State of New Mexico and places emphasis on giving qualified 501(C)(3) charitable organizations and non-profit educational institutions donations.

Due to the large number of requests (MSL) receives each year, please allow a minimum of four weeks, prior to your event date, to review your donation request. No inquires, phone calls, or emails please.

Approved Requests ONLY: A staff member from the Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe administration office will contact your organization via email to notify the contact’s name listed on the form that the donation request has been approved. Staff will arrange a pickup time outlining hours of operation. Gift certificates MUST be picked up in person and are not completed or issued by mail.

Lorenzo Vigil, a native of Santa Fe, NM, is the Head Golf Professional and former First Assistant Golf Professional at Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe. He attended the University of New Mexico and the Golf Academy of America in Phoenix Arizona where he studied golf operations and management for 2 years. In 2013, he started teaching junior golf with The First Tee program in Santa Fe. Since then, he has been dedicated to teaching junior athletes the game of golf, while helping to implement a junior golf program at Marty Sanchez. He plans to grow the game of golf and make it enjoyable for everyone. When Lorenzo is not playing golf, he enjoys eating New Mexico cuisine and spending time outdoors with his family and friends.

From private swing lessons to coaching, playing lessons, junior clinics and group lessons, I have been teaching golf in Santa Fe for 15 years. My focus is making a difficult game feel simple. Everyone learns differently so I use drills, mirroring, and explanations while you swing away on the driving range. By building a repeatable swing we enable quality feedback and predictability. Patron’s visiting the City of Santa Fe’s municipal golf course must adhere to all rules implemented by the City of Santa Fe while on the grounds at Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe (MSL). Professional behavior is required and is implemented to create a warming and family-friendly atmosphere. Individuals who engage in unacceptable or irresponsible behavior may have their access to MSL revoked or modified indefinitely as determined by the MSL management team and City Manager. Traditional golf attire is required while visiting Marty Sanchez Links de Santa Fe. Suggested clothing apparel and accessories for men include polo-style shirts with collars, turtlenecks or mock turtleneck shirts, slacks or shorts, ankle-length or tube sock, baseball caps and belt. Women’s options include sleeveless blouses and knee-length skirts or athletic skort skirts. Bathing attire, gym shorts, tank tops, tube tops, halter tops, mesh shirts, and other dress of similar nature are not appropriate. Metal spikes are prohibited.
